K. Chandler
Born on April 3, 1971, and the oldest of three children, K. Chandler was raised in Tennessee, where life was shaped by family, resilience, and quiet strength. Growing up, she learned early what it meant to carry responsibility and endure challenges that would later influence her voice as a writer.
K. Chandler wrote The Silence That Raised Me to honor a woman who became like a mother to her, someone whose memories are slowly being affected by dementia. Wanting to preserve the moments that mattered most, she turned those memories into a story that would not be forgotten.
Through her writing, she hopes to remind others that no matter what they’ve been through, survival is possible and every story deserves to be told.
